Session notes: We had a pretty good observing night, with ok seeing above 20 degrees altitude (there was some dust in the atmosphere and some clouds near the horizon when we arrived at the site).
I collimated my Dob, aligned the finder and it was ready for work in a few minutes. We took a tour of the constellations, looked at a few summer targets and challenged a beginner friend to find the Ring Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy by himself.
The hours quickly passed and winter targets were showing up. We enjoyed Crab and Skull Nebulas, galaxies from Cetus and Eridanus, the Rosette complex (at first we only saw the stars from the open cluster without the nebula; only in the morning, before leaving the site I was able to notice the nebula as well).
It goes without saying that the Orion Nebula was under the spotlight almost all night, with different eyepieces (7mm, 13mm Naglers and 34mm Meade) and with and without UHC filter.
We left around 4:30 AM when some clouds also started to take over the sky.
